Set up SmartGate and plate recognition

Connect the barrier, configure the ANPR camera, and manage the permitted-vehicle list.

Configuring SmartGate

  1. Go to GuardOS → SmartGate and add an entry/exit point.
  2. Link the ANPR camera to that point and test plate reads.
  3. Import the resident vehicle list, linking each vehicle to its unit.
  4. Set the barrier rule: open automatically on a match, or require guard confirmation.
  • An unrecognised vehicle is queued for the guard to confirm at the post.
  • Every barrier opening is logged with an image and a timestamp.
Read accuracy depends on camera angle and lighting. After installation, test in both daylight and darkness.
